Scrawled appraisals bled into reams

The ink's vibrant
Distilled blackness turned vagrant

Patchwork the story
Stiches bathed in red vino glory

Seize the signs
Panoramic images hidden within the lines

A contented diary
The placated visage of realms fiery

Drama's leathered reigns
Traveling the grass of tall-tale's planes

The family's apparent stain
Unscathed stories being all that remain

From the words in a book
Distilled thoughts dump into an empty brook

The Twilight SpectreSteam boils,
Out of the kettle.
Warmth pervades dreams,
It's what prickles and nettles.

Shadows are cast,
An outward reflection.
It's not at half mast, but whole;
Nary but a singular inflection.

Truth in darkness, universal honesty,
Light draws implications, the accessory.
Flames ripple on the verge of twilight,
Or starlight: a scourge, or a blessing.

Scolding tea by the scorching fire,
Into the fryer, now, drink in reality.
The souls of the misguided and the stricken,
An untamed vixen, fire roaring, head resting on paws.

The pot hisses,
Yearn for its warmth.
Take part in the dream, misses,
For being burned again is mere reality.

The Enduring VoidAll is black. There is no world, no sun, no ocean, and not one parcel of land. There is nothing. Time has collapsed and space has evaporated. The catastrophe has destroyed reality.

Pop. A man explodes into the darkness. Snap. A woman glides into existence. They’re not subject to the abyss. They emit light like beacons.

They become frightened. They whirl their heads frantically in search of something to grasp onto. The darkness doesn't provide them footing as they’re accustomed to a typical reality. It simultaneously deprives and overwhelms their human senses.

Finally their eyes meet and their lids instantly snap shut. The light

To Live LifeThere's no rhyme to sense,
No logic to the flow,
Melodic tones ringing from ear-to-ear;
Drowning out the cage of one's body

Long locks floating in air,
The precedent of the calm, a Polaroid of nature,
The sun-bathed water searing hope like ink;
Tailored to respecting the adventure

Freedom bleeds success,
Outcomes follow, being wanted,
And wondering at what one truly sees;
Silly it is to waste a freshly drawn bath

Adversity in the face of reality,
Need being such that it's fundamental,
Recognizing one's brothers and sisters as what they are;
Not as abject failure but as love, and hope, and family.

The center looks like it is flowing in opposite directions while the outer rings try to confine it - only an essence of it escapes. Interesting and very beautiful!

Yesssssss, thank you for realizing this! It's just a typical julian fractal but I tried to make it more complex than that. The title and everything was all meant to be very existential. Thanks SOoooo much for picking up on it!

That's an optical illusion caused by how your brain interprets your eyes' images. ^_^ The brain has filters it runs over what your eyes see. Anyway, thanks for mentioning it! Kinda shocked I came up with one.

Yes, I think your right... I also think I'll ignore you.

I think if you look at shrew as a noun and blue as an adjective, your way is the most sensical. Is that kinda where you were coming from?

But blue means depressed in this case, and the joke about red means angry. Depressed is an adjective too... Hm. I don't know. I'm confused!
